Help mee bouwen!

We’ve been talking about it for a while, but finally it’s becoming reality. Help us build a communal space, Starting Saturday October 6th till Sunday October 14th we’ll work on the first stages of building a building not unlike the one below.

We’re building a ’temporary’ communal space with which we’ll be able to experiment and gain experience with building with materials like: roundwood from our forest, straw, loam, a green roof, a lot of glass and many more beautiful materials I’ve been gathering for years.
Inspiration comes from that roundhouse, but also from the books ‘Shelter‘ and ‘Home Work’ by Lloyd Kahn.

As many of you know we are in the process of getting approval from our local government to organise more things. A part of these developments is building a low-impact communal space with as many natural materials as possible.

The building we’re building together this October is an example for the future permanent space. We’re building it in such a way that it functions, and will serve, as a communal space, but can still be easily taken apart to re-use the materials.

Your help will be rewarded with lovely fresh meals from the land, gazing up at the stars at night or hanging around the fire. You might catch a glimp of a deer or an owl!
So, if you would like to come help somewhere in between Saturday October 6th and Sunday October 14th, send us an email and tell us which days you’ll come, you are more than welcome!
